The EHR-D is the smallest, lightest, and most durable of Ehrlunds’ large-diaphragm condenser microphones. Designed with live performance in mind, it is equally well suited for recording percussion, strings, woodwinds, and a wide range of acoustic instruments—where focus, clarity, and reliability matter most.

Its compact size, robust construction, and built-in coarse dirt filter make the EHR-D a dependable companion for life on the road. Built to endure the realities of touring, it delivers the same transparent and natural sound Ehrlund microphones are known for, night after night.

This mic is the drummers delight! Warm, punchy and lots of attack.

With a pickup pattern that is slightly narrower than a traditional cardioid, the EHR-D offers excellent focus. It captures the intended source clearly while reducing unwanted sound from the sides—helping performances stay clean, even in challenging live environments. Bass frequencies are reproduced accurately, even at some distance, and fast transients are handled with ease.

The EHR-D is made for musicians and engineers who need a microphone that works as hard as they do—without ever getting in the way of the music.
