Silvester Electronics 5169 - 500 series EQ

The Silvester Electronics 5169 EQ is a 500 Series format, 3 band Baxandall shaping EQ, often found in the famous Swiss and German mixing consoles throughout the 70’s and 80’s. This EQ is fitted with two in-house designed OA1025 Discrete Opamps, inspired on designs from the same era in Germany. What makes the 5169 EQ unique is the character provided by the Baxandall design. This design features an extremely wide Q curve that creates gentle slopes but with a minimal phase distortion, which makes it possible to use extreme boosts and cuts without causing any negative side effects.
