• Unlike modern transformerless reissues, the WA-84 uses a custom USA-made CineMag transformer that helps deliver rich detail, clear top-end, and tight bottom end of the original mics without losing that unmistakable ‘analog’ sound.
• The carefully-crafted capsules provide the elite performance of the vintage original. The cardioid capsule has a smooth 9-10K dip to tame harsh high end while the omni capsule has a slight bump in that range to capture detailed room reflections.
• The WA-84 proudly utilizes WIMA, polystyrene and tantalum through-hole capacitors throughout the whole circuit for ideal signal transfer from capsule-to-transformer.
• The available -10 dB pad provides more headroom to record loud sources with the impressive detail of a condenser plus elite noise-rejection.
