The ZP Microphones Corti Master One is a studio workhorse that has a calm, warm, and round character and a good all-around sound like the U87. The Corti Master One delivers a warm tone with a creamy top end, making it ideal for vocals, instruments, voice over work, and instruments. It takes EQ very well and provides you with a great foundation from which to shape your production however you see fit. This is a fantastic option for an all-purpose studio microphone. The pickup pattern on the Corti Master One is cardioid and employs a conventional FET path that generates a forward full sound signature, runs on any +48v phantom, and has the following benefits: a lower noise floor, no tube maintenance costs, no tube warm-up time required, no excessive extra cables, and a small power supply.
